He is also member of the Institute of Cosmos Sciences at University of Barcelona (ICCUB) and the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC). Dr. Gomez&#8217;s research is focused on the development of ground based and space borne instrumentation for telescopes. He is Principal Investigator of the UB contribution to the instrument Polarimetric Helioseismic Imager for Solar Orbiter, and the IEEC contribution to the Ariel mission and the instrument MIRADAS for the Gran Telescopio de Canarias (GTC). He is also a member of the Nanosatellite group of IEEC, and has participated in the definition of the NewSpace Catalonian government strategy, and has worked at IBM.
