Norman Fitz-Coy, PhD

Norman Fitz-Coy is the Director of the Space Systems Group (SSG) at the University of Florida where he focuses on the development and validation of transformative technologies with specific application to small satellites. He was instrumental in the development of a space systems program at UF. He is an Associate Fellow of AIAA and is a member of the International Academy Astronautics (IAA) Committee on Space Debris, the American Astronautical Society (AAS), the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE), and the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC). He has published over a hundred and fifty technical articles related to spacecraft, with emphasis on spacecraft attitude and on small satellite systems. He has mentored numerous graduate students, several of whom are currently working in the spacecraft industry.
